A skill and hobby I formed during COVID lockdown was the art of editing videos. I love any form of storytelling, especially visual; emphasised and made larger than life with cinematography, music and sound production. I found different ways of heightening particular emotions or focusing on certain character psyche just through manipulating sound and footage.
As documented by a comment of a viewer below, it's the underlying emotion of the edit which lingers, which is my ultimate goal and something that connects others from anywhere in the world - also a beautiful sentiment!

Process
Through using high powered software such as Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, it has taught me the technical specifications of exporting videos to ensure the best resolution on output, which also depends on the quality of the original source. This will also influence the Format, Frame Rate and Target Bitrate.
It's interesting how many parts can be tweaked. There are effects and manual settings to enhance vocals, create seamless transitions between clips and change colour compositions. I usually experiment with all of the above to create a certain mood in the final outcome.
